Dave, I have Travelers and they initially denied my hail damage claim two years ago. Another contractor stopped by last year to do a free inspection of the roof and insisted I have enough hail damage to start another claim. I wasn't optimistic at first but to my surprise Travelers approved it second time around. Funny enough, in their report, they excluded prior hail damages they noted from my first claim that they denied on my second claim. But there was more than enough new visible damages for them to proceed with the claim. DM me if you want to know more about the process that I went through.

It was Travelers that paid for my roof. The rep from Colonial Contracting was here and met with the Travelers Insurance Adjuster. Both were on the roof simultaneously. I had no issue with getting them to pay for it.

I will add that I have since changed Insurance companies. After the roof replacement they tried to up the cost of my Homeowners policy 40+%.
