It's been awhile since I needed their services, but Tristate Piano Movers was highly recommended to me, and I was happy with their work too.

I would recommend that you go with a professional piano moving company if you are buying a baby grand or a grand. The standard moving companies are generally pretty good with uprights but if you are moving a more intricate piano don't use them.

Depending on the distance your going to get charged an arm and a leg for moving only a piano by most of the moving companies in the area if they will even do it.

Thanks Audrey...do you have a number for them or can tell me where they are located?

Yes...I will be the proud owner of a piano but now have to find the best and most economical option to get it delivered...distance between houses is literally one minute!

    Carol,

Glad you got the info you needed. FYI, next time
you should post non Broadlands community topics
in the "General Topics Forum" which is specifically
for "topics of concern that are not directly related
    to the Broadlands."

Considering I needed info specific to movement within Broadlands I thought this seemed more natural than General; I do use care when choosing which forum to post a new topic.

    Carol,

I am not trying to pick a fight but finding a moving company
is not a community issue. The proper place is in general topics.

As long as we're nit picking...the title should have mentioned something about piano moving rather than general moving companies.

Has anyone ever had anything delivered from Home Depot? Thought I'd ask here since this info is specific to movement within "The Broadlands"

Where can I buy a good bike? Thought I'd ask here since I will be riding the bike in "The Broadlands" and this would also be specific to movement within "The Broadlands"

I hope no one outside the Broadlands reads these forums. Sometimes our cranky neighbors are just brutal to each other. Lighten up and find something better to do than police community forums.

Carol, we moved a baby grand from NC and used a piano-specific moving company which stored the piano for several months, then moved it and tuned it for us. Agree with others--DO NOT use a general moving company! Good luck.

Sorry Carol, I can't seem to find Tri-State now. They must not be in business here under that name anymore.
