    Hi Tiffany!

Molly is probably hunkering down somewhere nearby as she's likely so scared being outside. Once she has calmed down enough, I'm sure she'll start mewing and find her way home! If you have any of the storm drains near your home, be sure and take a flashlight and look down into them, calling her name. These are common "hide outs" that cats will seek refuge in, especially when they are scared.

If you have not already done so, you'll also want to register a lost cat report with the Loudoun County animal shelter - they keep them onfile for one month. Also, contact www.fancycats.org. They can also post an ad on their website re lost cats and they are based out of Herndon so they're local.

Put up posters as well as flyers in the mailboxes and posters at the vets and grocery stores.

    Good luck!!

Our cat was out of the house (lost) last week from Tues. evening until Thurs 3 a.m. We put up fliers, notified neighbors, etc. But the one thing we did Wed. night was put out some tuna and water in his dish and sure enough we discovered it was eaten and he was then hiding out on the front porch! I really don't think he was far at all for these 30 hours. He also is not an outdoor cat and is declawed on his front paws. Please, try the tuna thing! Best wishes!

Thanks for your support and suggestions. She hasn't turned up yet. I put 9 Lives Tuna (canned variety) out the first night and every night since then. I will try the real tuna fish tonight. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again for your help as we try to find our Molly.
