Does anyone have any experience/recommendations with local auto glass replacement companies? Need a full windshield rather than repair. Thanks!

Also interested in any recommendations on this - would love to hear of any that come to your home and do it right in your driveway too. Thanks much!

I had to have a window in my car replaced last week and I used Banner Glass in Leesburg. They came to the house to replace it.

What kind of prices did they give you?

Also, if you have a recommendation, please specify the price and model of car. Thanks.

I used Windshield City and they were very good.

Replacement of windshields is covered by most auto insurance policies.
Call your insurance rep. I think any crack that is within the driver's field of vision (which is most of the windshield) and is more than six inches long is covered. As are any spots bigger than a pencil eraser.

I've had to make several claims in the last six years. In all cases the insurance company gave me a list of glass companies they work with. I selected one, called them and made an appointment. They have come to my work and replaced the windshield there.

I'd rather not deal with the insurance company and the related premium increase...I'll just handle it myself.

FWIW, Windshield City quoted me $210 installed but they couldn't do it until next week so Safelite is going to do it for $223.

I second the recommendation of Banner Glass. They were cheap, fast, and did a fine job. They came to my work and did the replacement in the parking lot.
