Hockey Season

    It has arrived. The offical start ot Hockey Season for the NHL is tonight. I am a native Western NY'er and a huge Sabres fan, although I am now a Caps fan as well, unless the Sabres are in town. I am trying to find a place that migh be airing the Sabres vs Hurricanes game tonight on the newly named Versus network. It used to be OLN.

    FINALLY!

    I'm about to order the new DirecTV HD Plus DVR so I can get Comcast SportsNet in HD... mmmm, HD hockey!

    I'm hoping the Caps can get to the playoffs this year... The addition of Alex Semin should pump up the goals some... it was fun watching the practice at the Ashburn Ice House these past few weeks..

    I do not know for sure, but I thought that the Original Steakhouse showed hockey on at least one of their big screens... I would call them and ask. And while you are at it, call most of the other places around Broadlands and find out and let me know too!!! ... just kidding of course - Go Flyers! :cheers:

    GO SABRES....I'm originally from WNY as well!!!! Went to lots of games while living there, along with the Bills games!

    I can't say much about football, as I played hockey. Never really got into football. I always managed to get a nice 10-pack of tix for Sabres though. I am so glad they decided on the "OLD" Blue and Gold for their alternate jersey.

    what's up with the new Sabres sweaters? They look like krapp! Will they still use last year's jerseys for most games? If so, thats ok, but whatever they wore last night wasn't all that =)

    nice....GO FLYERS! too bad we are getting spanked by pittsburgh on opening night. next tuesday is Flyers/Rangers on VS. (OLN).

    openband was supposed to start offering the NHL package, no such luck.

    hopefully when Glory Days opens up we will be able to watch hockey when ever we want.

    ugh, bad game by the caps last night... hopefully they can pull out a win on saturday for the home opener. Alex O doesn't look the same... hoepfully he can get back into last year's mode!

    Those are the Sabres new Unis. They wanted to incorporate the old blue and gold colors into the new unis with the new logo. I wasn't much of a fan of them when they first came out but they have grown on me and now I have to go out and buy my personalized one now.
