Primary Care Physician recommendation

Please help...

I have been using the group at Loudoun Internal Medicine as my primary care physicians for the past 7 years. However, I have become more and more dissatisfied with the services I have received there over the past couple of years.

So, I need a new primary care physician and am looking for recommendations. I don't need any group that also has the capacity to care for my preschool kids, or my wife (they have their own Dr.'s and have been served well).

I live in Ashburn Village, so anywhere in the general vicinity would work. Most importantly, I'm looking for physicians who call back about test results, other left messages, etc. in a somewhat reasonable time frame & who seem genuinely concerned for one's health (not just moving you along so that other patients can be seen).

We use Inova and seem to get good care. But I am sure others have better reccomendations since I am new to the area.

 

I can only help by agreeing with your complaints... I have the same problems with them and I think will be looking for a new Dr as well. Loudoun Internal Medicine is not what I would call a practice I feel happy with either.

FWIW - we are VERY pleased with Broadlands Family practice - Dr. Cohn & Dr. Wilder are wonderful and IMO take the time to listen to their patient's concerns.

With a new addition on the way, its nice to know that as our family grows that this practice can grow with us.

 

Here's a second vote for Broadlands Family Practice (located across from the Ashburn Farm Giant). My husband and I have been very pleased with the care we get there and the helpfulness of the Drs. and staff. They sometimes use an automated system for routine lab results, but last time they called me in person because the results came in early. We see Dr. Wilder and Dr. Rodriguez, but I'm sure Dr. Cohn is good, too.

 

And another vote for Broadlands Family Practice. My husband and I both see Dr. Cohn and have been very pleased by his responsiveness and caring. The office staff is great as well!

 

Here's another vote for Broadlands Family Practice! My family sees Dr. Cohn primarily, however we've also seen Dr. Wilder and Dr. Rodriguez and are very happy with them as well. They always take their time and I've never felt rushed. My husband and I have been dealing with some health issues recently and their magnitude of compassion is absolutely heartwarming!

They also give excellent referrals for other doctors when you need to see a specialist (I've never been unhappy with a doctor referred by them!).

Another thing I really like is that if they don't know the answer, they tell you that they don't know... but they do the research/and or consult with another physician and get back to you!

Also, the staff is fantastic and very nice! My daughter loves the nurses (and Dr. Cohn). Sometimes I think she'd rather spend the day with them than come home with me, hehehe.

OK, enough said although, I could go on and on about what a wonderful group they are!

Yet another vote for Broadlands Family Practice and Dr. Cohn. My wife and I have both just recently starting going there and we've been very pleased with the staff and Dr. Cohn.

Can't say enough great things about the entire practice!

Two thumbs WAY up for Broadlands Family Practice. Dr. Cohn rocks! Our family has been seeing him for almost 3 years now (wow, time flies). He and his nurse know us all by name, are very personable, and take time to listen and talk to you, not rush you out the door. They call back promptly when calling with after hours "emergencies" and send prescriptions electronically to your pharmacy. The practice seems to be growing (word must be getting out) but the growth hasn't hurt them in the way of service.

 

Oh, no! Guess I shouldn't have posted my secondment. All this praise! We'll never get an appointment now.

 

Can anyone recommend about Nova medical group which is in Ashburn,about their services as well as their doctors?

 

My husband and I have had consistent great luck with Nova and Dr. Holger Noelle. Not only are you able you get an appointment promptly but after hours (like Saturday afternoon) you can get right in to the urgent care. Excellent all around, as noted in the recent publication Health & Beauty, Western Fairfax/Loudoun publication. The Dr. is a great listener and spends all the time you need with him. He is easy to build a rapport with him.

They are efficient, including the front office staff, and have a medical spa in the front. And the office is clean and pretty!
