Home Child Care for Infants?

    Hi Everyone!

    I'm new to the board and will be a new mother in December. I've been looking into daycare centers and have seen the prices that some of them charge for infant care. Let's just say these prices make me :conf4:. I had no idea child care could be so expensive. I've been told to check into home care for infants since they don't really need all the bells and whistles of a center.

    I saw the thread about childcare centers but I'm wondering if anyone has any positive(or negative via PM, so I know who to stay away from) recommendations regarding home care it would be much appreciated.

    I'm sure there are several people in the area but it's hard to locate them when you don't know anyone in the area.

    If you do a search on the forum - you'll find quite a few conversations people have had about this in the past, including a few folks advertising their own services they offer here in the broadlands. It's a pretty popular topic.

    I'm just bumping this thread to see if I can get come updated information. I have seen a few other posts dating back to like 2005. I'm not sure if those people even still exist on the boards or are still doing childcare so any updated information is greatly appreciated.

    If there is updated info and I"m just missing it....please point me in the right direction b/c I'm not finding it.
