If you've never been to the Leesburg Kiwanis Club Halloween Parade, it's great!

This is the 50th year; starts at 6 p.m. Oct. 31 from Ida Lee Park, heads down King St. and ends at Safeway. High school bands, drill teams, drum and bugle corps, fire engines, garbage trucks, costumes, homemade floats, animals, cute kids - you name it. Participants throw candy to the little ones and everyone has a great time.

Free; bring canned items or paper products for donation to Interfaith Relief. Donation boxes are placed along the parade route.

it's sat. and sun. from 12-5. they are goign to have bluegrass, pumpkins, pony rides, a petting zoo and caramel apples to name a few.

slightly off topic - does anyone know if they changed the parking policy at udvar hazy? i thought if you went after 4pm it was free, and i noticed foodies post said discounted parking ($10 instead of $12). just curious.

I picked up IMAX tickets there in August around 4:30 and parked free. Hope it hasn't changed since then . . .

    Charlotte and others--

Thanks for your posts of events. I also did not pay for parking after 4 pm recently. You might want to call the Dulles Air and Space Museum. On the web site--it states "Parking if FREE after 4 pm". Phone number is (877) 932-IMAX (x4629) to check for shows, etc. Just check with the Museum to see if that is true for Halloween event.

The website for the Air and Space Museum says the event has reduced parking of $10. I guess the standard free parking after 4 pm doesn't apply. It still sounds like a lot of fun for $10!!
