I really enjoy watching games there. I'm not a smoker but I'm not all that put off by it either. I guess I got accustomed to it hanging out in the bars at college. Probably not an ideal place for families with young children. Based on the crowds it draws, I'd say his business plan is working pretty well.

 

You guys are 100% correct, there is not a law making The Original Steakhouse have a smoking section.

And I am very forward in telling you that smoker’s money is just as green as non smokers and it help pay the bills.

My comments were I think misinterpreted and need to be explained in detail.



We have a large bar in our establishment that serves hard alcohol and food till 2 am 7 days a week. In order to be competitive during those hours unfortunately we need to offer smoking. I personally do not like the smell of smoke and can’t wait till VA outlaws it. But until then it’s strictly a business decision.

We are trying are best to make everyone happy and like earlier posted everyone’s tolerances for the smelly habit is different. I would love to eliminate the option of a smoking section and still be able to be competitive but with the flurry of new restaurant openings and competition, I unfortunately as a business owner need to entertain all. (Even if they have smelly habits)

P.S. Clyde’s bar is smoking, they just have 30k sq ft to spread the lovely odor.:eww:
