Purcellville is NOT too far to go for a truly wonderful dining experience. We headed to Magnolia's with friends last night and it was heaven from start to finish! Never mind the cozy atmosphere and friendly, phenomenal service- they made PERFECT Lemon Drops and Italian Margaritas and kept 'em coming all night long!

I could go on about every dish, but it would be pointless- everything we had from the Brie and Spinach Fondue to the Caramel Pecan Bread pudding- with some Rockfish, Filet and creamy Stoneground Grits in between- was beyond expectations. Hearty portions with out making you feel like a pig, beautiful presentation, and just an overall delightful place to be for a special night out. it's really not that expensive given the quality of food and service you receive.

LOVED IT- no wonder it was one the 25 Best restaurants in NOVA Magazine on 2006!!

How does Magnolia's stack up against Tuskies? Since they're owned/operated by the same folks - just wondering. A regular at Tuskies but haven't been to Magnolia's yet.

Magnolia's is a little less expensive and a bit more casual. They're both great places to eat but the prices are a little less nosebleed at Magnolia's.

had both within 2 days- Mags had lower prices, otherwise- I couldn't place one above the other. every meal I'e had at both has been perfection- although my only criticism of tuskies would be the portion size of appetizers is small for the price.

There's so much love for Tuskie's. I've found the portions small, cost expensive, and food only so-so.

I have to admit that I have had the same experience at Tuskie's on some occasions. Not always but sometimes the portions seem small and the prices high and the food just ok. And at other times I have found the food to be very good. So it's hard to say. Magnolia's has been quite consistent for my wife and I. Just a bit farther to drive.
