Free morning light ornamental grass, which is great for privacy and come back every year, during the autumn they turn maroon w/ large plooms.

They grow 7-8' tall & double in size.

We have 26+ that we would like to give away - purchased from Greenworks in 2005 for $26/per container

...the catch is you will need to dig them up (Mr. Pea will assist b/c we have drip/sprinkler lines running through out the property).

I've attached pictures - please PM if interested.

Does this type of grass have the rough/sharp edges? We had some beautiful ornamental grass years ago, but it could cut like a knife!

Not that I recall, they are pretty soft - except I had a few cuts from cutting them back but that was from the dryness of the grass blades and not wearing gardening gloves.

um Pea, why you giving them away? they do a swell job of blocking the street view for privacy.

Yeah, but they don't block the kids from running through there. She is probably going to install claymores or some sort of anti-personnel ordinance. I don't blame her.

I need to split some and I want to add more color/flowers, so I figured I would offer them up vs. throwing them out.

Thanks for sharing your plants -- as well as some great gardening tips! Digging them up was a piece of cake compared to the planting once at home -- rocks, rocks, and more rocks!
