    20 MPH in a FREAKIN SCHOOL ZONE!!!!:angryfire:

also the 4 way stop @ Ridgeway is NOT OPTIONAL - especially for those who are making a right onto ridgeway from Claiborne.

how about parents getting in the drop off line instead of parking on the street balocking my sight lines for getting out of the driveway! If you don't want to be late for work, get out of the house earlier. Ok, if you want to dorp your kid off for the FIRST day, fine, I understand that one...Kaosgirl was at Mill Run the last year they had bussing as mandatory, wish they'd do that again. I cant tell you how many times I almost back into the side of a car parked right across from my driveway. AND whoever keeps dropping their cigarette butts on our lawn, If our house fires up, then I'll hunt "your you know what" down!!!!!

this is one of my pet peeves.....I wish people would use their heads....don't park directly across from a driveway......some neighbors have people visiting them and they park RIGHT across from our driveway and I leave at 5:30 AM for work.....it's dark...I've come VERY close to hitting those stupid cars!!!!

I see your point but I think for the most part it just doesn't occur to people. I know it didn't to me until a neighbor said something to us. The neighbor has a gigantic SUV so I think that was what made it more difficult. We have a van parked across the street from our driveway but it doesn't cause a problem with us backing out our cars. Still a valid point, but not an obvious one to people not experiencing a backing out problem.

Our neighborhood also has a problem with speed demons trying to get to work and not giving children the right of way on Vestal & Springwell. People will actually drive faster if they see children trying to cross this horrible intersection, the street has a blind spot for people or car crossing over from Springwell onto Vestal. This intersection should have a stop sign or crossing guard during school time. Is there a way to petition one?

I'd call the school board and find out.

Yeah, I am with you on that one! Boy, does that really get me. I have a very large SUV and every day not matter what time I have to do a three point turn out of my driveway and then back up down a street and turn into another street just to get turned around so I can go to work. :screwy:
Oh, what fun and to top it off ....coming home from work and trying to park in my driveway is just as fun  because I have to hope and prey as I turn into my street I don't hit a car because since there are so many cars parked on the curbs I can't see to turn down my street.

:drive:So, in closing.... If you are parking on the curb then you better be hugging the curb! :racing:

This seems to be common problem. We definitely suffer from this in the SW Townhouses. The streets are so narrow you have to wait for passing traffic, and forget about backing out if there is a car directly across from you. My biggest peeve is that folks park too close to intersections. In some spots, there are cars from corner curb to corner curb, which makes it almost impossible to make a safe turn if there is no four-way stop. And don't get me wrong, I'm don't want to be unreasonable. If you have a party or something that lasts a few hours, help yourself to street parking. But if you or a guest park your car on the street every day, please find a parking spot or put one in the garage.
