Nurses group scolds HCA

A nurses union on Wednesday charged that the quality of care at HCA Midwest hospitals has declined because of staff cutbacks and other shortcomings.

First, as I stated at the HOA meeting I would identify myself in future posts in an effort to get all forum participants to do so. My name is Ray Mittan (new author name soon to follow).

Second, Congrats on being elected to the board.

Third, in reply to your posting. It should be noted that it was a news release from a union that prompted the newspaper article. I would assume that the union has an agenda other just wanting to get "the word out".

Last, It would appear that your primary purpose for running was to oppose the hospital. I respect your opinion and salute you for being active in our community. I do request however, that as you represent our community, please be fair, accountable, and respectful of all opinions in dealing with hospital. I am in no way implying that you have not been so to date. Thanks again for being active and the best of luck during your term on the board.

 

Ray, I appreciate your comments. You are absolutly correct in saying that ONE of the reasons I ran was to have a fair and balanced representation on our HOA board when it comes to this hospital issue. I have, for the last 2 1/2 years tried to understand the "other side" but am firm in my opinion on this issue. When it comes to being fair and unbiased on other issues that effect our community you have my promise that I will do that. Thanks again
