We have been doing 15 min breaks. that is part of the problem. On the days that is has been overly hot and or humid I call all the pools and put them on 15 min breaks for that day and still we are having problems. Today I tried something new and we will see how it goes SW and CC are having 15 min breaks as they are the least likely to be closing these days and summerbrooke is having 2 breaks totaling 15 min 1 from the 25 to the 30 of the hour and then the regular 10 min break at the top of the hour. If this works I may start using it at all the pools as it gives everone just a few min for a quick sip of water, bathroom break and a chance to be out of the pool for a few min so not swallowing so much pool water at one time

what about giving one of the pools a minimum age limit? i'm sure it will be unpopular to some and ideal for others- but what idea ISN'T? :)

    it's an idea though...

Notast two hours of the day. That place gets busy on a regular basis once the other two pools close for the day.

Baywatch...neither our insurance company or county or state rules require 45 minutes for thunder.

I always thought you had/should wait a period of time after eating before you could/should go back into the pool. But you see some parents taking the 10-15min break to give the kids snacks. By the time the kids are done eating the break is over and they are back into the pool. Full tummies plus pool water maybe equals accidents? just a thought :)

growing up it was 1 hour after snack/meal before you were allowed to go back in the water. It was unheard of to come out and get food and jump back in.

true, but now there are many parents who don't want to have to watch their kids so them send them right back into the water once break is over.

So, you think if a parent doesn't watch their child when in the pool, you think they will watch them when they are out of the pool?? ;)
