I realize that Adelphia is long gone and Comcast has taken it's place. I took all the steps necessary to forward everything from my adelphia email account to my new comcast account more than a year ago. However, I just found out that a business contact of mine has been sending me emails at my old adelphia address. When I try to log on to adelphia I get a message saying try again later. When I call their customer support number, it's been disconected. Am I screwed??? Is there no way to get these emails and whatever else is still sitting there?? Anyone have a solution??

If I remember correctly, the mail was supposed to be forwarded for a year. I don't know how strictly Comcast defined the year, though. I suspect you may be out of luck, but you might want to call Comcast's customer support.

call comcast - but I know for sure (because of all the bounced emails we get here from forum members who have NOT updated their email accounts) that adelphia mail is not being accepted.

So - don't worry, mail isn't sitting at adelphia... it's never being accepted. The people sending the mail should be getting a reject message back.
