Anyone interested in starting an adult soccer team? Or is there already in an exsistence? (Just a fun one...)

I think the Dulles Sports Plex in Sterling has adult leagues. Indoor though. www.dullessportsplex.com

JenTimC is correct. The season already started but another season or session should start up again. I think a "team" cost $700 to play. I know some people that play there. Real nice facility. Go check it out, I believe the games are usually at night and some last until 11pm.

Yeah I'm playing at the SportsPlex on an indoor co-ed team right now. In the Spring the games are earlier because most soccer has moved outdoors. But in the Winter some games start as late as 11:35 PM. It's a lot of fun!

Although Loudoun Cty does have small recreational outdoor leagues, the big ones are in Fairfax. I know a bunch of the coed teams were looking for women to play last week (there's no way I can keep up with the men in this shape!); I think the season starts this week.

    Check out the following:
http://www.playerlists.com/ - there may be some teams listed here.

    www.eteams.com/nvcasl/- Fairfax coed league

www.fwsasoccer.org/ - Fairfax women's league, but has ads for coed teams too (under "looking for teams")

http://www.wawsl.org/- Washington women's league if you are willing to drive

    Good luck!

My wife Jodi forwarded this thread to me, even though she basically hates soccer[V]...

I have recently begun playing OUTDOOR Adult Coed in the NVACSL's WOG (Word of Grace) Primo Division. This works out well for me (and I would hope most Broadlands Adult residents), as all games are at the WOG athletic facility (a.k.a. OLD REDSKINS PARK and formerly DC United Park training facility). Another measure of location is it off Route 28 at the second stoplight south of the 267/Airport road interchange. Specific location can be found here - http://www.fcps.edu/maps/carson.htm - look for DC United Park just to the NW of Rachel Carson Middle School. It takes about 13 minutes to get from my house to there using 267; avoiding the toll road increases it to about a 20+ trip. The facility uses the real nice Field Turf -- the same artificial grass that's at the Dulles Sportsplex -- and games are under the lights and mostly on weekends.

Having said this, my team is looking for adult (18+ YOA) female players (and potentially a few men, too). We really need at least a couple more ladies. We had to play with only 10 players on the field last night because we only had 3 women (you need a minimum of 4 on the 'pitch'.) Anyone who has a knowledge of the game (as in why and where you should kick the ball) and a desire to play should contact myself and Kris Cuccinelli ( Kris.Cuccinelli@villanova.edu ) to ask about the team. We play our next game this Saturday, so a quick response is appreciated. Our complete schedule is here - http://eteamz.active.com/nvcasl/sch...37191&show=full&subsite=3045488&league=234046 . Don't worry about age or skill level; although a lot of the "kids" are in the league, there are a few of us "older - 35+ YOA" players, too. Hope to see some of you out there!!
