For like the 4th year in a row my late summer/early fall cough is back. Wouldnt mind it if ti didnt last for the next 8 months.......

Does anyone have a Allergy Specialist somewhere in the Ashburn area and even towards the Fairfax area that they can reccommend? My doctor doesnt have any specific ones to suggest so I thought I'd see if anyone has a thought.

    Thanks!

My family and I as a mix have different extensive outdoor, indoor and food allergies. For seasonal allergies as well as lots of other allergies you have a few options:

Did you consider Alternative Wellness? They will be able to help without medicine with side effects or long term immunity to the allergy drug. They have a natural antihistime made from no chemical or preservative only organic foods (takes a little longer to work) supplements

Or how about allergy shots where if you go weekly you will build up immunity to the allergen. Or just a good allergist. If you are interested in this option our family likes Dr. Donna Schuster or Dr. Nyoc Vu of Herndon Adult and Pediatric Allergy Center of Northern VA - 703-689-2000

Good luck. No one should have to suffer!!!!!!

The Alternative Wellness Center I go to and have for a few years (who cured me of severe anxiety and borderline depression, flying anxiety through supplements, as a result of a miscarriage and took one year or so to fix) is Dr. D. Gauthier and M. Vasquez in Countryside Pidgeon Hill in Sterling. They are also Chiropractors but they specialize in Pressure Acupuncture and Body Restoration Technique and Stress Resistance Testing (started by Dr. Berg). It really works! Actually my whole family goes, even the kids. The kids don't get sick nearly as often and we are all healthier on the whole. Good nutrition and health education also.

Supplements are individualized and made from organic whole plant food, no chemicals or additives.

I can't recommend since I haven't been to her but Dr. Vicky Lee is an allergy specialist near the Harris Teeter shopping center at Ashburn Village Blvd & Rte 7. Her husband who works with her is an ENT specialist and is very nice.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Based on the recommendations from this forum, I went to Dr. Vicky last week. She was GREAT. So friendly and personal and I felt like she had all the time in the world for me and my million questions and stupid jokes. Would recommend her a 100 times over.

Even more important, when I told her she needed to help me tell my wife I am allergic to messy diapers and nagging wives...she came through by writing me a prescription. Yup...the prescription reads (on her pad no less)
    "Allergic to:

    1. Messy Diapers
    2. Nagging Wives
Refills: infinite amount of times. Contact with the above could be fatal.

    Treatment:

    1. Golf
    2. Nights out the buddies"
Now seriously...what other doctor would do that?

Aside from the jokes though, she is very knowledgeable with a great personality. What more do you need in a doc?

+1 - I went to Dr Vicky the other day and even though I'm not allergic to anything (after all the testing) it was a great experience. Her knowledge and manner was great.

Also, she suggested a couple other things it could be and I even got a consult from her husband (for free) with some further information.

This is an old thread, so I wanted to know if the recommendations for Dr Vickie Lee in Premier Plaza, Ashburn still holds true. Has anyone seen her recently? Any other recommendations?

The consult is for a bad case of hives - we want to know what the cause is. Thanks.

We also love Dr. Thai. My daughter has a 'stress allergy' that is similar to an autoimmune connective disorder. She has been an amazing help and resource to us.

My daughter who is 17 has seasonal allergies with the pollen from cedar trees. We gave her raw honey for couple of years during the triggered period it worked but now it is bothering her. We tried over the counter and prescription allergy medication but it did not give her relief completely. Her pediatrician suggested her to go to allergist and get allergy testing done. My husband prefers alternative way of treating it. Can anyone recommend a good allergist who would do allergy testing and treat in alternative way? Or any suggestions regarding alternative treatment or others which worked based on your experiences.

    Appreciate any recommendations or advice.

    Thanks!

I still highly recommend Vicky Lee. She is a wonderful doctor, great personality, and very knowledgable. If it's hard to get in, get on her cancelation list, and you can usually get in within two weeks.

We saw Vicky Lee two years ago and she is fantastic! Wonderful with my then 7 year old, very thorough and answered all my questions. I never felt rushed or that she was anxious to get to the next room/appointment.
