Random Bar singers have talent.

I'm really disappointed in Daughtry's choice of songs. He could have picked any song out of Queen's inventory, and he picks some obscure song with a message well out of reach of popular America.

 

I hate to be wrong, but Bucky actually pulled it off, that doesn't mean he should still be here at this point in the show, but still...

Ace, however, stunk on ice. According to dialidol, here is the bottom three:

Ace

...with Ace going home tonite.

On a side note, Chris is looking more and more like Homer Simpson each week as his beard permutates. He has a huge vertical cranium...

 

Is it me or did getting assaulted at that nightclub make Paula Abdul slightly more coherent last night?

I thought Taylor and Elliot were good.

 

I liked Taylor's performance. I called that one early yesterday though Song was just perfect for his voice and his stage dancing (if you can call it that).

I hated Chris's performance. Simon was right. That was a horrible song. His voice is now really starting to get on my nerves. I really don't like him anymore.

Kellie's performance was funny. It was not horrible but it was not good either. I am glad she didn't try to make it country.

Last night was really Taylors night. Everyone else IMHO was not very good.

 

i though Paris was horrible but I would hate to see her go home. Chris isn't a main stream guy- it isn't IN him to choose a song that everyone knows and loves. The song wasn't great but I think HE was- I love his voice and passion. Although a BIG thumbs down on the George Michael eyeliner and bedazzled shirt- STOP ALREADY!!!

I wish Bucky had been worse because he isn't in gthe same class with the rest, but I think Paris' time is up. She has a great career ahead of her.

Now I, too, can have all of the shirts that Ace and Chris stuff into the front of thier pants behind their beltbuckle. yech...


Oh, hats off to the guys from Queen too for sticking up for their music. I liked May's attitude when he was approached with ideas to 'change up' a song or the arrangement. it was good to see someone tell these dummies to beat it.

 

let's see- they dress the girls like little hookers in corsets and too much make up and they "fruit up" the guys with hair mousse and make up. They all looked better the first day they arrived BEFORE those horrible hollywood stylists got a hold of them.

 

well to my surprise I was finally able to watch American Idol from Pakistan...but after previous years, I was really disappointed....maybe it was the theme....but none of the candidates struck me as star quality.

 

We were shocked to see Bucky get the boot last night. Everyone in my house thought Ace should have gone. He was HORRIBLE!!

 

Dixie!!! Ace, Bucky, Bucky, Ace. If you were a teenage girl again and really didn't care about the quality of one's singing voice (like most voters!), who would you vote for.

 

Honestly...I thought Bucky did a much better job on Fat Bottom Girls than Ace did with Rock you. Ace just didn't look comfortable in his own skin while he was performing it. Bucky on the other hand, seemed smoother and at ease singing his song.

On another Idol...I am sick of Pickler's "stupid" act!! And that accent
!!YUCK!! She is laying it on a little thick.

I do not think her "stupid act" is an act at all. And THAT to me is the sad part. But, in a wierd way, it is also refreshing.

And yes, Bucky did sing better than Ace. And if actual singing was the major factor, Mandisa would be on the show the last day.

 

That article was good. She is a big fake.

IMHO Mandisa didn't have it. She was to "gospelly" for my taste and apparently the rest of America's too.

Early on last year I predicted Carrie to win and this year I have a bet with my kids. My money is on Chris.

 

Chris might get there, but he has begun to grate on my wife's nerves, so I think I might pick Taylor or Catherine.

 

Anyone else think that they are picking some really horrible themes this season. Queen, Stevie Wonder, and now Rod Stewart... Of course the one night they could pick anything from the last six years, they still blew.

And like it was posted, Kelly is really grating on my nerves now. My wife and I hated her in the prelims, when she made a big deal about having no one, but was greeted by her family when she got a golden ticket.

Ok Dalyn and I went to see Sunny and her dr fu band last saturday. Dalyn and I were also having a minor disagreement saturday evening while we were there ok it was more like a major fight. ha ha I think Sunny must of sensed it because she barely talked to us or maybe it was just my winning personality. ha ha ha

Well tonight Dalyn was watching american Idol and I heard this loud laugh from the other room and she said "Lee come here quick you are going to love this so she started to replay taylor hicks performance and I said "whats so funny about this.?" she says shutup and wait till the end. of course like the perfect husband I am I did. ha ha ha Well anyway those of you that saw taylor's performace he does this fall down thing at the end of his performace this evening.

Now back to the dr fu and sunny's performace sat evening. Sunny was singing this Guns and Roses song and I told Dalyn, sunny really sings that song well and Dalyn replies you hate guns and roses and I said Dalyn I do but that is the one song I do like from them. Dalyn says no you don't and I thought ,well, this going to turn into another fight so I said yes dear anything you say and I think it's time to go. Sunny finishes the song and falls right straight back at the end into the wires and just lays there like comatose with her eyes wide open. Well we wait for a few minutes for sunny to get up so we could say what a great show tonight and goodbye. After a few minutes of her laying there went went up and said goobye with her still staring at the ceiling and no reaction. So I ask one of her band is she is ok and he said she is just fine and he will say goodbye to her for us. So we left and continued our fight all the way home. ha ha Well all I can say taylor hicks must of see her show that night because he fell down tonight just like sunny did last sat. ha ha

Looks like Sunny must be ok because she did post here today and Sunny, Dalyn and I loved your performace last saturday it actually went very well with the battle we were having.

you all should catch her and her band sometime they are great she has more energy then any singer I have ever seen and she can jump higher then most basketball players and do it over and over.

I plan to have them play at my end of summer party this year her energy level should blend very well with most of my crazy friends and hopefully dalyn and I will not be divorced by then no matter dalyn can bring her new boyfriend. ha ha OK dear I will be there in a second, no I am not posting on the broadlands site about that taylor hicks story and sunny, I said I would not post it. Honest dear I am not posting anything. I know I Know I would sound like an idiot if I posted that story ha ha too bad, Dalyn will never see this anyway since she never goes on this site thank god ha ha ha
