of the 2 jackholes I saw one was practically BLOCKING the lane for those of us going straight, with his nose pushing his way in between two cars- SO RUDE. the other one swerved into the inside right turning lane while everyone else was proceeding nivcely thru the light- dang near causing an accident.

get a camera on that road and mail a ticket the cutters for $500 for driving with BAD MANNERS! :devil2:

This is when I wish more people drove beaters and were willing to just push people like that out of the way :)

Oh please try to cut in my lane... I'll run right into you and have little to worry about

ok, so is old ox west bound always that screwed up in the evening rush?

Tonight at 6pm, Rt28 was a parking lot all the way back to the tollroad interchange.. so I went onto old ox thinking I could cut up to AOL.. as I was going to wegmans anyways...

It took TWENTY minutes to get from Rt28 to moran rd (where the transit center is). Complete parking lot the entire way... is it always that screwed up?

Not that bad. Probably had a lot of bailers from 28 thinking the exact thing you were!

i did 28 at 6, hit the line up near the greedway around 6:15ish and had to hit weggies too- are you following me flynn??? :p anyway, it wasn't that bad... it moved steadily and with good manners all the way to wegmans. i was in weggies by 6:30.

it's the OTHER side of waxpool that's a total fustercluck- i feel bad for 1757 and Buffalo Wild Wings- NO ONE is leaving ashburn to go to dinner up waxpool diring THIS mess!

normally I would never touch old ox in the evening.. but it has potential - but not in that trainwreck of traffic that was today.

I don't know what's happened in the last 6-12m on Rt28.. it used to be fine all the way up till about the old Ceder Rd point.. where the backup from people trying to get into the left lanes for waxpool used to hit. Now it's backing up to Old Ox and beyond pretty regularlly :/

I was disappointed to see that the trees in the median along LCP between Waxpool and Beaumeade have been cut down. I'm guessing more lanes will be added but I'm very sorry to see the trees go! It was always a pretty drive along that stretch and beyond. :-(

I think 28N from 267 to Waxpool has been a mess at least the last 2 years and probably even longer than that.

YES - those trees were gorgeous in the Spring, Fall and Summer, it's really a shame they had to tear them down.

SO waxpool free today using my new route- even got a late start from my house at 8:20! got to cville at 8:53. woohooo! BUT there was less traffice today, so monday will tell a truer tale... no oxen were involved in my route. i need to check the mileage on it- but i don't think it's too much longer than traditonal routes....

Oh no! My daughter has wanted to run through them for years and I kept meaning to take her over there. She'll be so disappointed.

Yes, 28S was a dream today. No traffic at 0800.

The true test for you should be on Wednesday, that day seems to be the heavy traffic day around here I've noticed.

After the interchanges were done... it was smooth sailing once the knuckleheads figured out the new traffic patterns.

Now, it's regressed to almost as bad during peek as it was before they removed all the lights.

There hasn't been a huge expansion in the area... so what is going on?

Probably b/c of increased greedway rates and the fact that rt 7 from Leesburg to 28 has less lights now.

All - sorry to be away the past 48 hours and miss the back and forth. Yes - the chain you saw across the gravel road in front of the Rosa Lee Carter school is a problem - but it was open during the workday the couple of times I went that way. You don't have to cut across ground or subdivision yards. Following that gravel road takes you, in a couple of hundred yards, to entry onto Old Ox Road. Coming from Old Ox, the entrance to the gravel road is at the point where a large rail barrier blocks an older road, but the entry to the gravel is clear just to the left. Obviously, the problem is investing the time to go that way, not knowing if the chain will be up.

I believe, but I cannot confirm, that the road is there for emergency vehicles, etc to use, which is why it has a chain across it.
