So I'm back from the Atlanta show. Wow are there some amazing things coming for fall......

Crocs - Um, so Croc is making a Ugg. I call it a Crugg. Lined on the inside, comes in like 9 colors including PINK, can be rolled up or down so it can be a short boot or tall, and you can add Jibbitz to it. Price - maybe 60-70 bucks? It also has new rubber on the soles making them last longer. These are absolutely sick. They'll be here in August.

Crocs is also starting a new program where you can return old, worn out Crocs to me here at the store. I send them to Crocs in a huge bag, and they melt them down and combine with others to make new shoes, which are sent to impoverished third world countries, where people havent ever had shoes. I signed up at once. I love this program, and its a chance to do something great with something you can't use any more!

They're also making: New, sexier flip flops, HEELS (no joke), loafers, .... and kids lined mammoths in new colors. Crocs is going nuts. I'll have a ton of brand new stuff you won't be able to get anywhere else starting in a couple weeks, so be sure to stop in. I'm so impressed with their line right now.

Naot - Excellent fall line, especially for MEN. *** - remember we talked about Naot? They are making 3 dress shoes you can wear to work, an interview, out wherever. I put them on.....so nice. They're comping me a pair so in a couple weeks I should be able to show whoever is interested. I really liked them. For women, they have only like .....25 things I wanted, including some really great unique heels, patents, and grey stuff.

Dansko - Oh my. Ridiculous stuff. I will have to cut my list down their stuff was so good. They have a new heel bottom that is excellent. Great arch support, new pull up leathers, all kinds of stuff. Starting maybe....Aug 15?

Footprints - Actually not a ton new here that I loved. One shoe for guys that was great, but other than that, I wasnt struck by much.

Birkenstock - Not a ton here either - definitely some new colors that are great but nothing earth-moving. They're more of a summer company anyway.

Smartwool socks - In response to customer inquiry, I'll be starting to carry walking/running socks that feature their new PHD arch support system. I tried these on and they are totally worth the money. If you're a runner, come see me soon - these are really nice.

Keen - New colors in the same stuff - I didnt see anything revolutionary but liked what I did see.

New Balance - Wait....yeah thats right I said New Balance. I'm thinking of adding them to my line - seeing as I know everything about feet anyway it seems stupid to send you off to random guy/girl to get your athletic shoes. They have specialty motion control. stability, cushioning, and athletic shoes.....I really like this idea. Let me know what you think.

Think - has anyone heard of think? I just got the spring sandals in on Saturday. I'm so impressed - great colors, great arch support, and great styling. If anyone is interested I'll post some pictures.

And thats it for now! I talked to my reps who are loving the idea of having community members attend our private showings! We're actually doing one tonight in Herndon, but this particular line is small for fall, so I didnt waste much time trying to coordinate for here.

    Happy Valentines Day ALL [IMG]

I vote for NB, we all where them and they are practically the only line that carries wider widths for men and women

:screwy:If ugly is charming, then how come George Clooney is sexiest man, but I'm not. By your theory I am like Fred Astaire and Brad Pitt in one!

I vote for the NB as well. Those are the only non dress shoes i'll wear. I also like the smartwool socks. I'll need to stop by and get some. Where is the store located, and what are the hours.

The Regular one's I would agree with you on, but the Flip-Flops are amazing. They fit great and support your feet nicely. I walked all over St. Kitts and St. Lucia in a pair. No problems

    And for the record

    1. I hate Flip-Flops
    2. I did not wear socks with them and don't think you should with any open shoe or sandle.
    3. I don't like the Ugs either.

Why would one's feet smell wearing flip-flops?

Sweat mostly causes feet to smell and my feet have never sweat when wearing them.

Nope. That's the great thing about Crocs as compared to knockoffs--the material is proprietary and has an antibacterial component. Even if your feet totally sweat out in them, they NEVER smell. I'm with T8erman and C--the flip flops are totally fantastic.

I thing this brand has some nice stuff, too.

I'm a big fan of Teva, but the womens shoes are a bit....manly. Especially on a big footed girl like me! These look functional like Teva but a bit more femininine.

My feet smell after wearing the clogs (I had to wear them after foot surgery a year and a half ago), but my feet don't smell wearing regular flip flops. It must be the confined space that feet are in for them to smell in the clogs. I haven't tried the Crocs flips, but am open to it...considering my favorite pair of flips I've had for 10 years now! They carried me all through Disney!
