I need the name of a good reputable auto body shop in the area. My wife was driving my car and got rear-ended by a large Mack truck (international) [}:)] and there appears to be anywhere from $6-9k dollars in damage to my car. In the past I have gone to Ashburn collision center and had nothing but problems with them :(. They had my car for over 6 weeks for 2 scratches and some minor body work. They never did get the paint to match. I am looking for someplace that actually replaces the broken parts, can color match paint without runs in it, no overspray on the car or under it....., and does not take my car out for a testdrive while they work on it [:0] .... .
Right now I am hearing a lot of good things about wagonwork out in Alexandria, but I really really dont want to drive that far out. If anyone knows someone first hand or can recommend a great repair shop I would really appreciate it. [8]

    Thank you in advanced!

Try Fallon Automotive in Sterling 703-478-9550. Mike Fallon is the owner. Talk to him.
They are very honest. If they cannot do collision repair, ask them for a recommendation. I am very sure they will give you a reputable business
to contact. We have been dealing with them for four years for our three cars.

It's just a little farther than you might hope, but I strongly recomend Matchless autobody in Vienna (off Rte 7, almost in Herndon/Sterling, not really Vienna) 703-759-4327. We have been there half a dozen times over the years and love them, even my husband who is very fussy about his car is always pleased. I always note a large number of collector's cars and very expensive cars (even a Rolls Royce once) being worked on there, which I take as a good sign. They are fair, always stick to the estimate, are usually done early, and will deal with all of the insurance headaches for you. They even buffed out some scratches on my husband's car once and didn't charge us a penny. We have sent several folks there and all have been very happy.

Hope it works out and that your wife is alright.

Ah crud, I just had my car towed today to body works of n. Va. out in leesburg. The shop you are talking about is the one I was looking for but could not find.....:(, man if I had just waited another day. I have heard of that shop before, they often have Porsche' and Ferraris out there too, from what Im told.
Oh well, I have also heard good things about Body Works and talked to the owner, I have a warm and fuzzy with them so Im not too worried. Thanks for the recommendation you guys, I appreciate it. ;)

My wife is ok, her neck and back are a little sore, which I can understand. Unfortunately, the driver's insurance company is a pain in the butt[}:)], so we have hired a lawyer to deal with them. Cant people just be honest and just pay for damages/loss sustained by their mistakes. All we wanted was car repaired, rental car and some $$ for car depreciation. All Ive gotten is 2 days of stalling, and "no rental until....." . NO phone call or nothing from them. Anyway, enough ranting, thanks for the info folks.

    Dwarflord -
I was rear-ended this past winter and we used Body Works out in Leesburg. They did a great job on the repair. My only complaint was that it took 3 days longer than expected. I think the bad weather was the main reason (icy roads = lots of fender benders = lots of business for them!). Good Luck!
