Avon Walk for Breast Cancer - Get Ready Walks

    This year's Avon Walk for Breast Cancer will be in Washington, DC on Sat, April 30 and Sun, May 1. It's 39.3 miles to raise money for breast cancer treatment and research for a cure.

    Currently there are two "Get Ready" Walks (training) scheduled for Ashburn. Both will start at Trail Side Park (North dead end of Claiborne Parkway). We will meet at 8:45 am and leave at 9:00 am. Both will start at about the 28 mile marker and head toward Leesburg. These are "moderate" level walks, with a pace of 3-4 mph and a primarily flat route.

    Saturday, Feb 19 is a 6-8 mile walk - turnaround at 31-32 mile marker.
    Saturday, Feb 26 is a 8-10 mile walk - turnaround at 32-33 mile marker.
