Axis releases free surveillance software

    This is pretty slick, although we use something else this is pretty cool.

    They are also upgrading some of their inexpensive cameras later this year to work with this. Only works with certain Axis cameras though.

    Basically records to internal SD card on the camera, or to a NAS. This is then used to access the recordings.

    Super easy to setup, found the cameras on the network and did all the work.

    Even with a bit of shopping around, you can sometimes find a good deal on the cameras that work with this. Just saw an Axis P3344 sell on ebay for $300 a few days ago.
