Bakery?

Is there a good bakery around? I need to find a place to make my daughter's birthday cake! I need someone who can do a spongebob cake! Thanks.

 

We got an awesome Spongebob cake at Coldstone Creamery in Leesburg. Kind of pricy, but awesome!

 

How pricey? Where exactly is it located?

 

Gosh, I want to say it was about $28.00, but that was big enough for about 15 people. Coldstone is located in Leesburg in the shopping center across from Target, next to Starbucks.

 

That's not too horrible! I know exactly where that is. I've been to that Starbucks several times! Thanks for the information. I'll definitely check them out!

 

Wegmans has awesome cakes and I am certain they do Sponge Bob. Their cakes are far superior to any other grocery stores, IMHO.

Would you say they are more like a bakery or more like a store cake? I don't like the ones from Giant or Safeway. They have a funky taste. What are their prices like for cakes? Thanks.

 

They definately taste better than Giant or Safeway. I had one for my son's bday and people commented on how good the cake was and where did I get it. NOw is it as good as a great baker's cake-no probably not. But I definately think they are several steps above Giant. The cost is comparable- like $40 for a half sheet with custom decoration. I got chocolate filling in mine too- like a pudding- it was very good.

Chantel's Cakes in Sterling (just of 28 and Sterling Blvd) is an excellent baker. I have used them for all of my cakes as have many of my friends. I'm sure they do Spongebob. I have had them do custom designs for me. Their prices are very good, too. Their phone # is 703.709.1488. Anyway, he's an old friend and an amazing cake artist. Everyone should check out his site just for fun- it's incredible what he can do for the edible!
