I'm going for the "bait" here I guess.

    Brim,

I think the issue is that on many posts on this board, you point out what YOU think of as stupid behavior (such as hiring a cleaning service, pointing out a bogus delivery fee, etc.). But there are people who do want to hire someone to clean their home and they are entitled to if they want to. There are some people who want to know why they are being charged for something they are not supposed to be charged for. And they are entiteld to. It's not the point that the service charge is lower than what it cost in gas to pick something up, the point is, a charge is being issued where none was supposed to.

But more importantly, you come across as smug and a bit nasty at times and it upsets people. You may not care about that one bit and I guess that is your perogative. But for someone who lived here, your continued activity on this board from a distance may not be welcome by many.

I am saying this without hyperbole, and without any strong language or anger. But it's like I said before on this same thread, you are critical but don't seem to add anything but rancor to the conversation.

So please, don't be amazed when others don't think like you or share your sentiments.

    Have a day.

I'm confused as to why one of your posts was deleted and the other only locked. I for one wouldn't mind a seperate forum where we could have some debate on issues and those who don't like or want to participate in debate could stay away. Of course the same would hold true for those who like an edgier forum would have to respect the original post on the non debate forums and not provide unsolicited advice.

Furrymonki - THANK YOU very for taking a stand and saying what many of us are thinking! Brim you have in the past and continue to insulte my husband, our neighbors and friends in this community and forum. Your opinions although sometimes well written are rarely well recieved by members of Broadlands. Please try to consider your audience (such as the member with the sick child) before you inflict this community with your opinions.

It's amazing.... all the people wining about a buck....... you all need to focus on what is really important in life..... every business should just use the disclaimer... "terms and prices subject to change".... but then the winers would complain about that to.... is that dollar going to make your mortgage or BMW payment? lol......

FWIW..you can actually choose to add a user to a ignore list. I have not tried it myself but sure have figured out which users to put on that list.

click Memberslist on www.broadlandshoa.org, click a username and click on "Add <user> to your ignore list>"

Trouble is ... you then miss the once in a while good post that that person may add, and you're left wondering what everyone is commenting on.

    Neilz,

Is the ignore list just for IMs, and not for ignoring someone that posts?

ignore list is for reading posts from users. Does not affect private messages to my knowledge

Has anyone in the last 3 pages of this thread taken the time to read the subject of this 'conversation'? We went from a restaurant promoting Free Delivery yet charging a fee for it, to how cheap some people are, to Hummers and now how to ignore users...

Let's bring this thread back on track or it will be closed...

    Thanks.
