Wow...this is really bizarre. Were the two cars that got towed near each other? How strange. I would be furious if that were my car. One thing I've noticed when it comes to police departments, they really don't care much about this kind of stuff. I had a car stolen a few years back, when the cops found it on the side of the road about two weeks later, it had a stolen tv w/the electric cord looking like it was ripped out of the wall socket. The plug part was missing, just open wires. Anyway, it sat where the front seats used to. The cops didn't even dust it for finger prints. To them it was nothing. This was in San Diego but I'm sure it's the same every where. They are more involved with bodies in dumpsters. Sad to say and I don't agree but they just don't care about these type of incidents. I hope you get it cleared up!

At the risk of veering off topic I must say I agree with you. The police could really care less about stolen recoveries. I guess they figure it's insured so why bother. It's ironic that they will risk their lives in high speed chases of stolen vehicles but if they find the vehicle abandon it's no big deal. You would figure they would at least dust for prints and keep them on file so when and if they catch the thief they can link him/her to several crimes in order to get a stiffer sentence.

Maybe dusting for prints is to much money to spend?

I wish I could refuse to pay taxes and be justified by the fact that the police did not protect and "serve" me.
