God did! You see, I found this golden disk with funny writing on it in my backyard. I happened to have this mystical seer stone and used it to decipher the writing. It said, "Thou may celebrate the Sabbath on any day thou pleases, so as long as thou slow down on Claiborne". So there you have it! Stop speeding through the hood and celebrate anyday you please.

By the way, I'm only showing the disk to my close personal friends and then it will eventually disappear in an act of God. Just take my word for it! :D

I'm flattered that you think I have the Kung-Fu to run an Alt w/o the Admins detecting it. It's doable but would really be too much of a pain. I have nothing to gain from it.

    (1) I don't hide from issues on this forum, so why create an alt to put out controversial topics.

    (2) Dang hasn't supported me on any important threads. If I made an alt don't you think you'd see more Homer/Dang double teams?

In response to thndrkats' question ("What's a holy roller?" that they've deleted since yesterday):

    holy roller
n : a member of a religion that expresses ecstatic fervor

Since they were so quick to break out the dictionary earlier in this thread, I would have assumed they'd look this up themselves...oh well.

haha...where'd that decree come from? Again, insight from George Carlin on the topic...there only needs to be two commandmants in this day and age:

    1. Thou shalt always be honest and faithful to the provider of thy nookie.

    2. Thou shalt try *really* hard not to kill anyone; that is, unless they pray to a different invisible man than the one you pray to.

Why don't you give me a page of it, then try to translate the disk again and see if it matches.

    Great job vweisenburg!

I've found that a lot of non "holy rollers" are the ones that pick out a passage and try to exploit it.

LOL! I've thought that myself you silly redneck! Everytime I read a Dang post, I have Kahn's voice in my head. Just waiting for Hank Hill to show up here.

    <Off topic>
Anyone see Ross Peroit lately? He looks (and sounds) just like Cotton Hill [Hank's father].

I base that on two things. One, all of the other 9 commandments are mentioned specifically in the New Testament. Two, Christ himself rebuked the Jewish leaders for their strict interpretation and enforcement of the Sabbath laws. He said "The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath."

I actually liked you're question, but would prefer that you own up and quit pretending that you're someone you're not.

Well ... if you check, all the Judeo-Christian versions still have that listed. For a good background on the Ten Commandments see:
