Birch trees losing leaves

    I live on Chickacoan Trail Drive and it is lined with Birch trees. Over the past few years many trees have been losing half of their leaves in the middle of the summer but this year appears to be much worse. Most of the trees have already lost some to a majority of their leaves. They are just shriveling and falling off. Does anyone know what is causing this?
