Funny...when I hear Bluz Brother's BBQ I think of Memphis not the Carolinas. So, do they serve Memphis style dry and wet BBQ too?

they serve em dry but there's not much of a rub on them like you get at red hot and blue. they have a vinegar based, sweet KC style and a tangy sauce on the table so you can dress the ribs your way.

i wasn't crazy about the ribs completely dry but u dud really like th KC honey bbq sauce.

I'll have to take my family there soon. My kids love ribs! I sure didn't get to say that when I was 6....KFC was our big splurge when my mom needed a break from cooking.

Tried it last night for the first time. The Wrecker was outstanding. Will definitely be back a lot.

I went there with the family for dinner and it was awesome! Do not miss the roasted chicken. Tender, juicy, smoky and about 10x better than any rotisserie chicken that I have ever had!
    x2 on the chips.

Just go there, and eat it all!

My 2nd time back wasn't so great. We think the cook just went nuts this time with the pepper. My wife's chicken BBQ was inedible, you couldn't taste the chicken at all - just pepper spice. I had the 2x beef choice (ribs and the sliced beef) and the beef was waaaaay more spicy than the first time I have had it. We chalked it up to just a fluke as the first time everything was excellent with just a mild spice. The ribs were pretty good, but not nearly as good as the ribs from Sweetwater Taven (nor did I expect them to be however). We'll try again!

We went tonight. I am a Texan by birth and really love good bbq beef, but know better than to order brisket anywhere outside of my home state. Tonight I had the pulled pork and my husband had ribs. The pulled pork was very good. The ribs were very fatty. If/when we go back, we'll stick with pulled pork or chicken. Good bbq is as much about the quality of the meat as it is the sauce . The hush puppies are obviously not made there. They are too dense and should have pieces of onion and not be so perfectly round. I could have done without them. While the place was never full while we were there, there was a steady stream in and out and a couple of pickup orders. I don't know if they'll last unless they make a few upgrades to the food. There's too many other good places to eat and a lot less people eating out regularly.

    I agree with your assessment.

It's not Famous Dave's, but not the worst I have ever had.

I'll stick to making my own bbq and hash.

Same about the home state....hard to find good pork outside of SC and NC, and Bluz was no exception. hate to say it, but it tasted like it was canned...the meat was really soft and watery.

    Service was spotty.
