THANK YOU for saying this!! I thought I was the only one... I have been to other Glory Days locations and they are okay but the one in broadlands is terrible...

I've been there about a dozen times in the past year, some to just drink, others to eat. I've never had a problem with it.
In fact, I think it is much better now than the first year they were open.

Reach out to the GM George, he really tries his best to make sure everyone there is having a pleasant dining experience. I think their food quality has improved over the years since they opened.

I agree with you Cliff. My family and I dine there often, and find the food reasonably priced, pretty tasty, and the waitstaff has always been friendly. George, the manager, comes by every time to make sure everything is ok, and when it isn't, he either takes care of that item or the check.

Went tonight and the food was good, not great, just good. Staff was attentive and friendly. And there was a large crowd too, so others are enjoying GD.

We visited Glory Days just once. The atmosphere was fun, but biting into a piece of chicken and realizing that it was RAW inside was not fun at all!

Glory Day's is much better now than it was in the past. I think the food is OK, the service is hit or miss but it's no worse than any other place in Ashburn. It's is about par for the course around here.

Then do not go to the Broadlands Sports Theater (formally known as Broadlands Pub) if you think Glory Days has tv overload :)

don't they say you need enough capital to start a resturant to be able to go for upwards of 2 years to establish yourself?

I don't understand why people don't start businesses with enough runway.

I would say it sounds like they didn't have a business plan - research, research, research. You can have all the capital in the world but if you don't have a plan (and revisit/adjust that plan regularly) you will struggle to steer a successful course. Sad to see another one go.

i dunno what the case is for Bluz Bros, but i think some of these places are starting out with an unrealistic ASSUMPTION of success without putting in all of the time and effort it takes to actually get it. that just by BEING here they will have customers and profits. i dunno, i don't get it, i just- don't.

Ashburn is a REALLY tough crowd. you don't have tourists and visitors to give you steady one-time visitor business to boost up space left by a lack of regulars. if you don't get steady regulars, group bookings and support of neighborhood organizations, you have NO CHANCE here.

inconsistency will kill you, as will lack of savvy marketing. you can be fantastic but if no one knows you are there- how will you ever succeed? and if they finally find you and your goods/service are hit and miss, WHY would they ever come back?

    sigh.... :(

I would love to see a Hard Times Cafe go in there.

Their food wasn't too bad, but I always had though the name itself was a mistake for a BBQ place.

you didn't hear me say this out loud, but i think a chain restaurant would do well in that space... Hard times is a good one.
