I am not so down with the basketball/tennis court idea, but I love the idea of an outdoor theater, large open playground like dino park, picnic/barbacue area and volleyball court.

stream = free doggie pool! :)

Too bad the lawyers would probably require some sort of fencing

The issue I would have with a dog park is that it would be "limited use".

If a small section set aside then fine. But I feel that IF we are granted the property then it should be something that most, if not all of the community has a chance to partake in.

Hillside park is so bad, and has been for a while, that I'm honestly not sure I'd take my kids to that new area if it did become a playground.

I am talking about a children's play area like Trailside or Dinosaur Park. IF you have not been to either, I would recommend going. They are both LARGE play areas with substantial playground equipment.

I think they mean the upkeep... not the type of equipment.

Ahhhh. Wellll, if it would technically still be BRMC land that we get to use, perhaps we approach them to maintain it as part of their overall compound.

Horseshoes and / or bouche ball fields. I'd put one in my own backyard but I dont think the neighbors would like the 'clanking' at night.

Community garden? Divide it into plots and residents can rent them out to plant their own vegetable/flower garden.

my husband was stationed in Italy and played boche with the old italian men... which he is slllowly becoming himself- lol.

that's a great old school sport to bring back and would show the diversity of Broadlands cultures! Any other cultural games that anyone can think of? how much FUN is that!

Redon - off the top of my head:
badminton, horse-shoes, croquet (my ALL time favorite), tetherball, kick the can...tug of war (over volleyball sand), bolo ball

dodge-ball (but that could be dangerous w/ this crowd - unless...let's incorp into the next HH)
