You know, Shim has a point. I have browsed around and noticed that some senior members of the fourm are aloud to comment in any way, shape, or form they wish. However, when other members make comments, they tend to receive more scrutiny and control by certain forum members. Just an observation....

I see a difference between Flynnibus's postings and, say Shim's.
Flynnibus simply gives his opinions about the subject and gives his reasons for them. You may agree or disagree, but they are his opinions. He doesn't say anything to demean anybody.

    Shim comes back with "nibus,
Have you been the smartest kid in the class your whole life?"

Sorry, but this does not contribute to the conversation, nor does it address any of Steve's points. Now it may have been meant as a joke and in good fun, but it can also be taken as a snide retort.
This ambiguity is what makes internet forums comments to be misinterpreted and a conversation (mistakenly) spinning into a wrong/unintended direction.

Now I think Shim's comments are a bit snarky at times, but I've also met him and he seems to be a pretty decent guy, so I may be more understanding/forgiving of his comments than others might be.

Might I suggest you look at Shim's last few postings in this thread and tell me how his posts added ANY value to this discussion and where we are unjustified to ask him/her to tone it down?

I'll copy his/her posts to make it easier for you:

Eggberta, you're entitled to your opinion, but I think I'm pretty well justified when I ask Shim to cool it with his/her snarky remarks/attacks. If Shim wants to provide an opinion or add value to this discussion, more power to him. I don't see that in any of his posts in this particular thread.

Finally, his constant little 'mis-spellings' of our names further proves to me he's simply out to annoy us rather than add to this discussion. That's MY opinion, take it or leave it.

He is a thought. None of the recent posts has to do with home prices in Broadlands or Broadlands South. ;)

    Offline anyone?

Can I ask what is probably a stupid question considering I have been living in Broadlands for over 2.5 years.... what is considered north or south broadlands? I thought it was just Broadlands... I'm off of Demott by the safeway....

"Broadlands South" is the SouthernWalk area. It is Broadlands that is south of Waxpool Road. It is further distinguished by having a separate HOA that funds the OpenBand contract that all of SouthernWalk is required to pay for.
It is still part of the overall Broadlands community and HOA.

You're well in the north :)

The 'easy' line is simply the stuff south of waxpool is broadlands south. However, it's not quite exact as there are some areas south of waxpool over near the middle school and the gas station that are considered part of the north.

Those areas are south of Truro Parish, not Waxpool. They are also actually north of Waxpool.
