Clyde's also required a Special Exception, and many of your fellow "fallout zone" neighbors fought this as well, saying it will ruin their lives and the neighborhood.
    Sound familiar?

I just wanted to thank everyone that worked on this throughout the years to make this vote happen!!! It couldn't have happened without all of the effort, passion and concern voiced over the past 7 years...

While we do have to wait a few more days for this to finally end, I wanted to post this explanation here as well, as I have received many emails asking for clarification.

The original vote was on the motion to approve BRMC: 5 against and 4 in favor. The second vote was to deny BRMC: 6 for and 3 against. As is the legal right of the BOS, a member on the winning side of any decision can move to put up a motion for reconsideration at the next (February 17) business meeting. Only those members that voted in the majority can bring this up. This reconsideration is to be done during the next business meeting of the Board of Supervisors.

At the end of the board discussions, a roll call was taken on the second motion (to deny) to see who was against and who was in favor. During this last roll call, Stevens changed his vote and added his name to the majority vote so that he could bring this issue up for reconsideration.

He and York (I assume) will work diligently to try to change the minds of those members that voted against the application, in the hopes that a new vote will be taken and the application will pass.

I don’t feel as this needs further worry (as the comments made by York and Miller condemning and accusing their fellow board members, I imagine, have left a very bad impression on those that voted to deny) I think these 2 will have a very hard battle to try to win them over, by apologizing for publically trying to embarrass and discredit them and to get them to change their minds.

I hope this helps and as always, if you have any questions, please let me know.

How about we stop the trolling, or just lock this thread.

I am hoping that when we are re-electing our officials, we do not make our decision based on their 1 vote in 1 community....

Come now, it's the American way. What have you done for me lately??

Look, elections in their purest form are nothing but high falutin' popularity contests no different then voting for your senior class president in high school.

I offer to you our latest presidential election as proof of concept. he didn't win because he was qualified. Who is actually qualified to be president unless you actually done the job??? He was elected becasue he was popular. Does anyone possibly believe that he can deliver on most of what he promised? Or any president? He wants exactly what any first term president wants, a second term.

Once you lose the naivete' of you actually are voting for the "best" candidate, you'll see that you're no more guilty of being an emotional human being than the next guy.

Frankly, I OK that it works this way.

Would it be acceptable or in bad taste to share Susan Buckley's email on this issue with the forums? Simply for imformative reasons - people can draw their own conclusions.
For those who did not get the email, at any rate...

Because frankly, upon reading it, it's making my brain hurt (and that's my only commentary about it).

Well if Susan's E-mail is only gonna get people more spun up and emotional about the issue, I would say don't post it.

I will publically and vocally opposed any expansion that Inova would propose. I want choice and lower cost, through competition...not monopolistic and preditory restraint of free trade.

Like I said, I'll vote with my feet and go to Reston before I'll EVER go to Inova Loudoun.

I don't like where that emoticon guy is trying to hit the horse. It's disturbing to me.

It's the kind of CPR that will be offered by the Inova healthcare monopoly in Loudoun County.

    See what I did there?

It's nothing new when it comes to the arguments in the issue, but she had one or two odd rationalizations for voting against BRMC that didn't make sense to me, but must make sense to CCoB and INOVA and other anti-BRMC parties....
Ah well, you're all right. We don't need any zombie horses.
