What's the latest on Broadlands Pub? Still at odds with neighboorhood home owners, the sheriff, numerous ex-employees, as well as patrons? And is the food still mediocre and does the does menu keep changing every couple of months?

Wow. 121 views and zero responses. I'd take that to mean nobody cares about the place. I know I don't -- despite the Noon to 8 p.m. Happy Hour, or however long it is these days.

Not sure what the problem is, but the same night (12/30) you couldn't get into OSH due to the crowd, there wasn't a single person sitting at the bar at Broadlands Pub. The bill came and noticed they charge almost $7 for a single Yeungling!

I didn't realize this place had a bad reputation in the community, I've been in there a few times and never had any issues.
The staff was prompt and courteous. The crowd was a little older than say OSH but still a good time.

We’ve been a couple of times but only because we’re right across the street from it. The times I’ve been there in the evening it was too smoky and too loud. Whatever band they had in there was deafening and it was impossible to have a conversation.

We have a single, 30-something neighbor who goes there quite often in the evenings – after 10:00. He seems to enjoy the crowd.

We had the owner come around our house asking us to sign a petition that we thought they were *not* making too much noise in the evenings. I didn’t sign it at the time because it was too early in the season for us to be out on our deck at night and I didn’t know if I’d be able to hear them or not. But now I’m happy to say I can’t.

i've enjoyed the pub- sometimes the music IS too loud for conversation on the side of the bar with the band, but we've always been able to hear each other if we move to the booths. i've heard some very good music there, a beer is a good price, and I hope it sticks around so we can walk home from a happy hour when the weather gets warmer!

you know what they say.. "if it's too loud-----"

c'mon someone finish it for me!!!

Broadlands Pub is great is wonderful. Especially if you enjoy consuming your alcohol while sitting in an ashtray.

try going on saturday nights when they have karoke, it sucks big time...but i go there for cheap booze...there has been alot of staff turn over, and many many unhappy employees (if you don't have a D cup, don't work behind the bar) is what I feel the code of conduct is there.

After the Clyde's fiasco, I actually stopped by Broadlands Pub to see what was shaking. Couple of changes since I was last there -- Happy Hour is now 3 to 7 as opposed to 12 to 8, and the food was better. Also, they are on the poker bandwagon as they had two tables of Texas Hold 'Em going. I'm told they only have bands on Saturday night now, but who knows. And, of course, there was the obligatory female behind the bar. Some things never change, and that would be considered a good thing.

I dont like this place. Its very sketchy thats all I have to say. We would rather go to Bonefish, Panache or OSH.

looks like it hasn't been updated lately so i would call to confirm what's up.

it's not "sketchy" at all- it's a neighborhood PUB. dark, smoky, loud- not an upscale bistro- it's 100% a B.A.R.

totally different offering that Bonefish, Panache or even OSH- there aren't families roaming around. I would go there sweaty after a softball game to have a beer and wings without thinking twice. good grown up place to just hang out- i support them fully!

Dead on Redon (sorry:)). I have been there a few times after playing in some golf tournaments. It is nice to sit at the bar and chill for a while.

I agree. For the most part Broadlands Pub in my mind is everything that I would expect from the typical neighborhood bar around the corner. However has anyone else noticed that the prices are far from the typical neighborhood bar? I've been there a few times. During their happy hour the prices were always low, as you'd expect. Unfortunately though it seems once happy hour is over, the prices go way up. I've been there a couple of times after the 7pm (I think) cutoff and both times taken by surprise at the bill. I seem to remember paying like $5-6 per beer. Maybe I am living in the past, but to me that seems like a lot for a beer at local bar. It has been about a year since my last visit, mainly due to my last 2-hr visit costing about $100 (2 people drinking beer + 2 appetizers, tax+tip included). For that I could take my wife to Bonefish, eat excellent food, and still have a couple of drinks each.

So being that this place has panties and bras hanging from the bar I take it this is a good place to pick up women maybe?
