    What's the deal with this thing? Why is it that it's broken down like 60% of the year???? Brambleton's waterfalls don't have this problem.... Anyone know?

    It's maintained by Van Metre - I'll bring it up at the next Board meeting. Last I heard, it was to be turned off for about a month for maintenance.

    Yep, wondered about this myself. For a potential new buyer in the real estate market, I'd wonder about the viability of the community if the "big sign" is broken for a long period of time. Of course, VM is now pretty much out of the picture, so I'm sure their motivation to fix it is a lot less than it used to be.

    What is the "little JD's"????

    I noticed that the Broadlands sign didn't have the water fountain at all allllll summer!!! I thought perhaps they didn't want to pay for the water since the water rates have gone up so much????

    The fountain has some structural defects and VM is addressing them. The latest word is that it will be 4 to 6 weeks before the work will be done...

    Ok, but it doesn't say "Broadlands Marketplace", it just says "Broadlands", so in my mind it's an entrance to the whole community and reflects as such.

    ANY new word on this????

    Structural defects would impact the water... but I really don't understand why we can't at least light it up. This is really starting to bother me.

    At the board meeting last week they had said there was still work being done. I believe they hoped to have it all finished by the beginning of November. Not sure what all is being fixed though so I am not sure how that plays into the lights.

    Yes, but someone could call the county and complain. I suspect they are still on bond for that section.
