8 WEEK SPRING SESSION – March 22nd through May 16th

The Broadlands Tennis Committee invites you to join Certified Teaching Professional Luis Rosado and Junne Choe’s 8 Week Spring Session Tennis Program. Recently, Luis Rosado and Junne Choi were awarded the Broadlands tennis contract for the 2010 tennis season. Children, teens and adults of all skill levels are welcome to join the programs. Whether you have tennis experience or not, the tennis-related games and activities provide a healthy and fun introduction to the game. The programs stress fun rather than competition.

Luis has been involved with tennis for over 20 years, first as a player and then as teaching professional. Luis has taught tennis in Mexico, Florida, New York, North Carolina, Maryland and Virginia. Luis was a nationally ranked top 4 in Mexico for 18 years and under and played tournaments in Europe and South America. After receiving a full scholarship and playing the #1 spot for James Madison University, Luis graduated with a bachelors degree in Finance. His mission is to "give people the opportunity to learn about tennis, a sport that can help them in many ways."

When:March 22nd through May 16th

YOUNG BEGINNERS (ages 3-8)*****Mon through Friday 4 to 5pm*****Sat and Sun 10 to 11am
JUNIOR CLINIC (ages 9-14)*****Mon through Friday 5 to 6pm*****Sat and Sun 11 to 12pm
TEEN CLINIC (ages 14-18)*****Mon through Friday 6 to 7pm*****Sat and Sun 12 to 1pm
ADULT CLINIC – Beginner*****Mon through Friday 7 to 8pm*****Sat and Sun 9 to 10am
ADULT CLINIC - Intermediate/advanced*****Mon through Friday 8 to 9pm*****Sat and Sun 9 to 10am
Junior and Adult Tournament*****One Tournament will be held at the end of the session on Friday, Sat and Sunday.

Where: Nature Center Courts

Format: Beginner students will learn basic tennis and motor skills that will develop a good foundation of footwork and proper stroke mechanics. Intermediate students will learn to rally and develop match play habits and knowledge. Advanced Intermediate students will learn to play “Real Tennis” through drills that will develop footwork, strategy and consistency at full court.

Cost: Broadlands Members
$120 once a wk per session
$200 twice a wk per session
$240 three times a wk per session
$260 four times a wk per session

Broadlands Non Members
$136 once a wk per session
$216 twice a wk per session
$256 three times a wk per session
$276 four times a wk per session

I have a question regarding the rates.

By saying "$260 four times a wk per session" , do you mean $260 for 4 one- hour classes?

The $260 would be for the whole 8 week session having 4 one-hour classes per week that sums to 32 one-hour classes. Your avg per hour is about $12.3
