Each year Broadlands residents band together to clean up around Bullfrog Pond. The storm drains that empty into the pond bring along trash and debris from the street. Please join your neighbors on Sunday, May 6, at 11am at the Bullfrog Pond dock. You may want to brin some gloves and wear sturdy shoes - ones that you don't mind getting dirty or muddy. Please help keep our pond and wildlife healthy and happy! Questions? Call 703-349-1095. This event is organized by the residents around Bullfrog Pond.

I've lived here 10 years and never knew about Bullfrog Pond until this year :( My kids liked it and I heard you can fish there too... cool.

We go fishing there about every other weekend and really appreciate what it offers as well as the folks that live around it. I've pulled some nice bass out of the pond (and gently returned them of course) and my kids have some great memories of our times there.

You can pretty much guarantee a fish on your kid's line - just put a piece of cheese on the hook. It'll get a bluegill nearly every time. And yes, there's some hefty bass in there.

Thanks to everyone that showed up to brave the poison ivy and ticks to clean-up Bullfrog Pond today. Here is a link to the group picture. Thanks everyone!

Yes, thanks everyone for your help. We had a great crowd and cleaned up several trash bags full of stuff. With all the help we were done in just over an hour. Plastic bottles, cans, and other recyclables were bagged separately for Thursday's pick up.

I'll be working with the HOA's facilities manager to see about getting a more secure trash recepticle and the asphalt repaired at the dock. It's probably time to consider addressing the state of the dock as well.

Again, thanks for the great work. Mark your calendar for late April/early May for next year.
