There is a lengthy article in the Washington Post's Thursday edition of Loudoun Extra. It is a very favorable review of one of our best restaurants in the Broadlands.

    Check it out!

I am SO glad to hear this- it's a fantastic family restaurant that I really want to see succeed. We eat there regularly and they make my son feel really special. And- he tears up every meal he's ever had there- loves the dumplings and orange chicken.

I hope Broadlanders support this place to the fullest- I'd love to have more family owned restaurants than chains around here.

We live right across the street and had never tried Cafe Opera until last weekend, when we dined with some friends who had also never been. We were so impressed. We had wonderful food and service, and on top of it all Cafe Opera had half the restaurant reserved for a huge homecoming group. I was impressed at how organized they had it set up for them (about 50 kids). They had a buffet waiting for them, so really all they had to do was serve the sodas and such. It was fun to see all the kids dressed up. What a gem and right in our own backyard! I don't know what took us so long, but we won't go anywhere else from now on.

Our family really enjoys Cafe Opera as well. The service is excellent... they're friendly and great with the kids. The crispy beef is my husbands favorite, I'm into their thai iced tea, and my kids love the orange chicken (and one of them is NOT a chicken eater! though that dish is a bit more pricey).

Glad to hear word has gotten around! :)

While I agree this is the best Chinese in Ashburn, it is not the best in Ashburn "by far", and since we just paid $8.75 or so for a large order of chicken fried rice tonight, I think I will shop elsewhere when it's for the family. Their large certainly wasn't as big as the large is at the place in the Safeway Broadlands plaza either. They also charged us $1 for 6 tiny packs of duck sauce too!
