I love the pound cake martini's!

Neil at the Wine Smith works with Cafe Panache on their wine list. We've been to see him many times where we wanted to buy a bottle of something we had at Panache and he's all "oh yeah, I recommended that for them and it's a big seller.."

Neil is awesome; so far he has never come close to letting me down with his selection, and the variety of tastings that he has. I really appreciate that store and they will continue to get my business !!!

i'm another fan. he has never steered me wrong on a wine selection- he introduce the don in redon and me to our new favorite Pinot Noir- Sara Powell out of Oregon. AWESOME pinot- alone or with food!

I agree. Neil is also great because he is one of the few wine store operators that doesn't look down his nose when I tell him I like beer better than wine, he always does a great job recommending me great beers.

and his beer selection is FUN- Hedonism is not the BEST beer i've ever had, but the bottle can't be beat! lol

there's another very sexy wine at WineSmith- I can't think of the name now but it has what appears to be flames on the label when the bottle is right side up, but as you pour the image CHANGES slightly... a tiny bit risque and fun at a dinner party when someone notices! go ask Neil about it... tell him Aphioni sent you and he should know EXACTLY which wine you are asking about... ;)

this should be a scavenger hunt for board junkies- the first to return here with the answer gets a prize...

He also has a decent selection of Cigars. And he does kegs, same price if not cheaper than total wine.

    I'll find that wine.

This is the BEST restaurant in Ashburn! The food and service are both excellent. We also love that they change the menu every season and keep it interesting.

I'm not sure if it is every week, but we were at Cafe Panache last Tuesday and all the bottles of wine were 1/2 price. We ended up with our Merlot only being $12, which is about $5-$6 cheaper than I saw it for sale online. You can also re-cork it and take the left overs home.

We went to Panache last night for our anniversary dinner.

    1. Nice caesar to start with, but I'll skip it next time and try a more interesting app.
    2. Got the tuna. The flavors were WONDERFUL, but it was a little overcooked for "rare"
    3. Wife got the filet mignon. A great piece of meat in a savory slightly salty sauce. It was quite possible the tenderest, best cooked filet we have ever ordered (and we have been to some nice steakhouses).
    4. Dessert - SPECTACULAR!!! If you like bananas, get the Carmelized Banana Desert. Warm, moist banana bread in a puddle of slightly saucy caramel sauce, topped with a caramel cracking, sauteed bananas, and banana ice cream. My wife and I were playing "dueling spoons" like a couple of kids over this plate of delish-itude.
    5. Two nice glasses of wine at a reasonable price.

We got a pretty darn good meal for two for about $10 more than it would have cost us to go to Clydes, Bonefish, or Original steakhouse.

If you haven't been there recently (or ever) give it a try. You will be surprised!

We went a couple of weeks ago and they've taken the banana dessert off of the menu. :( Our waitress told us the pastry chef was happy because it was a lot of work but that a lot of customers have been asking about it. Maybe they'll bring it back. I know I was looking forward to it!
