Did Caliente in Bramleton close? We haven't been by there in a while and when we exited our movie it was already closed and it wasn't late...just wondering if closed for good? I've heard rumors of another restaurant going in but that was quite a while ago.

I found out a couple of weeks ago on their facebook page. We had plans to go with friends. We liked their menu that they finally came up with the last year or so. Someone on their FB page mentioned another restaurant had already signed a lease. Austin Grill is the name of the restaurant mentioned. I googled them and it looks pretty good. It's southwestern.

I hope it IS Austin Grill - they're pretty good tex-mex.

We used to live in Alexandria and LOVED Austin Grill. We were also never fans of Caliente at all - the food was never more than ok and the service was iffy at best. Sorry to see a local place go, but I can't say I'm surprised.

I love Mexican food, but I have to say I never went to Caliente because the reviews were just not that great, so I didn't bother. Austin Grill would be nice!

Austin Grill was originally supposed to go into the Dulles 28 Center (next to Wegmans/Target off waxpool) but for whatever reason never did. That would be fantastic if Austin Grill comes to Brambleton - food is great, we go all the time to the one in DC next to the Verizon center.

    Great News!

Caliente closed - and nothing of value was lost.
