ACS (Ayoub Carpet Service) excellent for quality and price. We have used them for a number of years. Checkbook magazine also gives them high ratings.

I just used Ayoub last week. It was $269 for the townhouse. They were on time and quick, but I don't know if that's a good thing. Only took them an hour to finish and then once they did their basic cleaning, they were done. He did not go back and work on any of the tougher stains on the carpet. There were no major stains either, just high traffic areas and around the base of the walls. Didn't seem like they took the time to do it right. I would try someone else...

Joe from JCB came out and did a great job on our carpet, steps and couch. We would definitely recommend him friends.

Nice, knowledgeable and very good customer service.

I used Joe twice in the past month (two separate issues). Both times he was professionaly, courteous, green, and best of all - inexpensive. When I had my stairs, living roo.n basement doen previously it was over $400 with Absolute. Same area with JCB was $250 (if that). I will continue with his services as a regular cleaning - every 6 months (because of the number of people and animals in our house). Well worth it!!

We recently used Loudoun Carpet Care when a neighbor scheduled a "block party" of cleaning. They offered a discount for multiple homes. We had our basement (small area), stairs, and family room done for under $100.

Just curious, with such frequent cleaning, do you have issues with mold under your baseboards?

Haven't started with the "regular" cleanings yet - but I will. I hadn't thought about mold under the baseboards. I'm more concerned about cat pee. The carpet's not saturated enough for a long enough time to develop mold spores. If there are any, it's minimal...extremely minimal. I'm not an expert, but I've dealt too much recently with flooded basements (several times over several years) and there was no mold damage. So I'm not concerned.

Ok so Joe was prompt, friendly, did a great job. our carpet was in pretty bad shape so there ARE a few discolored spots where you can tell there was an "issue". but 99% of the carpet now looks brand new! the house smelled GREAT when they left. ueber professional- we are very pleased.

I left him a msg to see if i should expect that discoloration on a few spots or if he expected them to be fully removed- no response yet but it HAS only been 2 minutes.. lol

bottom line- JCB Passes with Flying Colors based on reliability, customer service and doing far better with a tough job than i expected.

In a previous home, we had 'mystery spots' that would show up and then intesify with every carpet cleaning. When we had the carpets pulled for hardwood installation, we discovered what was causing the spots. The builder had used some sort of putty on the sub-flooring to even it out. When it got wet from cleaning it discolored and oozed up. Not pretty.
