Isn't that like saying 'the risk of accidents go up if there are any other cars on the road'?

Your complaining about a situation drivers are EXPECTED to be able to deal with.

You raised concern over a wildly accepted practice (street parking) as if the situation is somehow abnormal there due to the car position and size of street. Two things that are well within common practice and not abnormal in any sense of the word. So yeah - I'll stick with exaggeration.

Never indicated it was extreme, abnormal, uncommon or illegal.

    Just raising a concern.

Is this something I can bring up with the HOA? It impedes traffic and is honestly a huge annoyance for me :)

Are cars allowed to be parked when there isn't a curb? They are literally parked in front of their driveway entrance.

As it turns out, a sign has been placed at this location that prohibits parking and warns of towing....

That sign is probably the one that must be posted at any entrance to indicate that illegal parking can result in towing. If it says towing on it and has a phone number, then it isn't there to indicate that the car you were referencing can no longer park there if it was parked legally before. The sign is something that must be posted at all entrances to HOA maintained roads if we want to have cars towed under certain specific circumstances, such as fire-lane violations and blocking sidewalks.

And keep in mind that towing will only occur for fire-lane violations and blocking sidewalks (in both cases only on HOA maintained roads). VDOT maintained roads have the same restrictions, but fall under the County's jurisdiction.

Our visitor parking is always taken up by residents with multiple cars. So one night one of us had to park on Foche. The next morning a man came out and rudely said - he owned those visitor parking spots and we were to no longer park there. BTW-there are never any cars parked in these unused visitor spots (we live on Huntsman Sq). Is this the case? Is it illegal to park on Foche in the visitor spots?:nono:

There is no reserved parking there. It's people thinking they own stuff they do not.

There is no such thing as 'visitor' vs 'resident' parking in the Townhomes. It's all first come, first serve, public parking.

Will these towing signs be posted on all HOA maintained roads? I live off of Welby and at least once a week the people that live across from me have a car parked blocking their driveway (and touching the fire lane) or parked in their driveway blocking passage on the sidewalk. When they've parked illegally on the street we've had to ask them several times to move their car so we don't hit it pulling out of our own drive way.

Yes. All the towing signs should already be posted.
