I am having a little difficulty getting Network Solutions to get the web forwarding right, so until the you can reach the website at http://www.forthehospital.org

Please, if you are in support of the hospital, get as involved as you possibly can. Talk to you neighbors, email your representatives, do whatever you can. Otherwise, the very vocal minority that oppose the hospital will be the only voices heard from our community and we will all lose out.

I am also a strong supporter of the hospital proposal. (No surprise to anyone who has read the hospital forum!) Let me know what I can do to help!

Who says that it is a vocal minority who oppose the hospital and a quiet majority who support the hospital? I would like to see some hard data. Without data, it might be the other way around...

Can someone associated with the HOA step in and ask it to put together a formal survey of the community members to see what the community wants and does not want? It would be really great if HCA did not fund this process... I think that the HOA could do it inexpensively.

I am only stating what I have gathered from people I talk to and the majority of them have been either neutral or in support of the hospital.

Now that is a statistically valid sample.

I only talk with non-supporters and guess what, my poll shows 100% opposition. Go figure!

Look up the registration info for the new anti-hospital web site. The Registrant is "The Anti-Hospital Minority." So, guess they must be conceding the majority of the community is for the hospital or pro-hospital...

Greg, that was a joke. We did that so that when the HCA supporters, such as yourself looked it up you would think we were in agreement with you. We were only quoting what the supporters were saying. We are very well aware we are the majority and am comfortable in that knowledge.

Rightttttt, we are conceding. Not a chance buddy! But, we've got to keep some humor in this "war" as someone phrased it.

You are no better than those you decry. You're site has nothing but opinion. There are no hard facts on what the Broadlands majority is. I wholeheartedly support Vacliff in sending out questionairres to see what the neighborhood does think. For the record I am nuetral on the issue.

Yes, my site is pro-hospital and as such will contain opinions that support my viewpoint. However, it will also contain actual factual data, such as reports from the Loudoun County Economic Development Comission, fiscal impact studies, and rebuttals to incorrect information published or championed by those against the hospital. If you find anything on the site that I claim is factual that you can prove is not, I will remove it immediately and issue a retraction. Let's see if the opposition to the hospital is willing to make the same sommitment.

Thankfully, the link to the site does not even work!

I took that as a sign that even vweisenburg subconsciously thinks that the hospital is a bad idea.

You state that the majority of Broadlands residents support the Hospital. This is not yet fact and is conjecture at this point. Once the survey goes out to all the homeowners then it will be a fact either way. Kudos to you if you stand by your statement above.

Homer: Don't you agree that the election was survey enough? The pro-ho$pital "fringe" candidates lost out BIG TIME. So, why waste our HOA dues on a senseless poll when the election was the real vote? Also, having the HOA be in charge of poll, as the HOA's representatives here have said they will do, is like letting the FOX guard the HEN house!!!

What an arrogant statement, to say this election was a referendum on the hospital! The universe does not center around the Broadland Hospital project. I would guess very few thought of it, before selecting the candidate they voted for.
