Colony House complaint

I'm writing this to vent, to solicit advice, and to warn others. About 8 months ago we bought an expensive chair and ottoman from Colony House. The fabric was dry clean only, and, having a family with small children, we were concerned about this. The salesman assured us this would not be a problem, and sold us a warranty from Guardian. The fabric is protected, and if the stain doesn't come out, the piece will be replaced.

Well, the salesman grossly oversold the service. We had a simple stain soon after purchase. They've sent cleaning solution - didn't work. They sent out a cleaning technician - couldn't get the stain out. After months of calls and phone calls, we're not getting any satisfaction as Colony House and Guardian both point at each other, and we're stuck in the middle.

So, don't trust a Guardian fabric warranty, and don't trust salesmen at Colony House.

Does anyone have any suggestions about where we can turn for recourse?

Thanks for the info. We bought a couch from LaZBoy a couple of months ago and got the warranty from Guardian. Hopefully we'll never have to use them.

 

Sorry that I don't have any suggestions. We have a sofa with Guardian and it too is covered with stains that will not come out.
