the annoying ones are the ones who don't have ANY cars in their garage and have 3-4 cars :)

But I don't have that big of a complaint about that. The ones I have complaints with are the ones in my area that park on the street rather then the parking lots so they can be 30ft closer to their house.

Its better now then it used to be.. but driving up demott used to feel like a slalom course

    Residents parking in common/visitor parking

I have slightly a different question. I have noticed people park their cars in the common/visitor parking area. In my neighborhood, a lot of cars being parked there. When I get visitors, sometimes we do not find parking for them in the common parking area.

I don't mind people parking in common area for a shorter period. I know atleast a couple of residents who park their on a permanent basis (they park one car in the driveway and the other goes to this common/visiot parking area).

How do we go about fixing this propblem?

    Thanks

there isn't anything against the rules for residents to park in the parking lots. They are not limited to visitors only.

I park my car in the common areas.. but I also put the cars in the garage! Most ppl here don't park in their garages :(

Please give Wes a call, he'll need to know where (exact address), and when (exact times). If this is only occurring at night, he needs to know that.

Yup .. just verified that, first come, first served; however, I agree, some people use their garage as a storeroom, and have three cars, none of which are parked in their driveway.

Isn't this unfair? When parking is genuinely required for a visitor, it is not there. I am thinking of getting a few old rugged cars and parking them in the visitor parking.

Ok, what about taxis? I've seen them on Village & driveways. Both of these people are taxi drivers so they are there on a regular basis!

We continually had this problem in the common parking lot next to our townhome on Windy Oaks. The contractors would leave their trailers there all summer. And one new homeowner parked his horse trailer there! We called Wes and he said if they didn't remove it, he would put a notice on it. He did, and they removed it. It's very unsightly, not to mention we had a difficult time seeing around it when we backed out of our driveway.

Is this their personal vehicle ?? If so, I'm not sure what can be done since it is a car (passenger vehicle) and not a truck or van.

This is a grey area that may require a ruling by the HOA Board.

I'm not really sure. But, it's still a commercial vehicle, right? Seems unfair that it's only trucks or vans...not that I have any of these!

Some day the cars will actually be bigger than the homes, and people will be complaining that their house doesn't completely fit in the back of their Hummer H234.

(Oh, and those people will still feel the need to own those monstrosities to account for...ahem..."shortcomings" in other areas...).

Well, some people who buy Hummers and the like are receiving big tax breaks (for now) as long as the vehicle is bought under the pretense of it being a "business expense".

Ok, so I have been following this and it finally degernated into something that I think should be commented on.

What is wrong with you people? Have you considered doing the adult thing and actually talking to the people? Or is that you all are so cowardly that you have to hide behind a username on a message board and make fun of people? Where are the adults in the world?

It would be hard for me to respond to this comment with out being insulting. Assumptions are never good to make.
