I would hope you wouldn't gloat -- the Lions are on life-support, having now lost 5 straight (including 42 - 10 to Minnesota last week), so Dallas beating them on a last-second TD is hardly an impressive win (hell, Washington beat Detroit 34 - 3). Look, Dallas is clearly the best of a sorry lot of NFC teams. They will probably make the Super Bowl (though a loss in the NFC playoffs wouldn't shock me) only to be hammered by New England.

Miracles do happen like when Joe Namath won the super bowl playing for the Jets. :) And Broadway Joe did gloat about it especially before and after when they did not have the slightest chance in hell according to everyone back then except Joe:) Yes I got to finally meet him at a party about five years ago and he still looked pretty darn good compared to today. Funny story; Dalyn and I go to this party and Dalyn and I got into this fight because she asked me to bring a football for him to sign and I forgot. Right in front of Joe this fight happened and Joe starts running around the room asking if anyone had a spare football for him to sign before there was a divorce right in this room. :) Well I also forgot a camera and this kind gentleman took pictures of us and we did get two or three autographs that night but not on a football:mad: The end of the story it took a year to get the pictures which were finally in time for Christmas and they were signed by Joe. We thought the guy just forgot to send the pictures and since we did not know him we had no way to contact him, he just had our address we gave him. What a nice surprise Christmas present.:)

Funny stuff about Namath -- the last I saw him, he was trying to get a sideline reporter (Suzy Kolber) to kiss him during an interview -- Joe looked as though he had just attended Happy Hour at Kaos':pofl:

I hate the Cowboys, but even I have to admit that this guy Romo is really a dynamic player. I keep waiting for a T.O. meltdown, but it doesn't appear to be forthcoming. Maybe he is waiting for the big stage to have a blowup.

I was hoping for the Cowgirls to lose so that the Packers would have an outside shot of winning home field advantage through the NFC playoffs. Favre has never won in Dallas.

Agree, Madcat, the Cowgirls have played one really good team and got smoked. Also agree that Romo has that certain magic, especially after the flub in the playoffs last year.

That was after, and I think he started drinking heavy again and he was interviewed on TV I think last year about this time and he looked like hell and could barely speak. I think alcohol finally took it's toll on him. Although he did look good when I met him.

It is always a love hate thing with all football teams:)

I also remember when I was growing up in Dallas the jets came to play the cowboys and everyone in typical Texas fun were calling the Jets those Dam yankees and Joe shoot back in an interview, what the heck are ya all talking about. I have far more texans on my team then you all have on the cowboy team. :pofl::pofl:
