We've been in our house about 6 months now and are experiencing creeking floors in certain areas of the main level. We have a few spots under hardwood and carpet that creek. Anyone else experiencing this? VanMetre glues the subfloor to the joists which is suppose to prevent this. Does anyone know if this is covered under the homeowners warranty? We have a finished basement so any kind of remedy will be labor intensive.

Technically, they glue and screw. in reality, they used more nails than screws in ours, caught them at pre-drywall. Supposedly they fixed it. Since I have squeaky floors, I don't think they did.

Since you are only 6 months the house is still under warrenty and that is something that they are supposed to fix. I would bring it up to the builder. We had a few spots where the floors were doing that and we let them know and they came in a pulled up the carpet and fixed them.
