    My neighbor had a retractable awning installed over her deck and I think it looks quite nice. It's cream/green stripes to go with the color consistent on her new deck and the house siding.

    Color me puzzled -- I thought the HOA documents specifically forbid retractable awnings?
    If I had known they were allowed I might have submitted a request to the mods committee.... I learn something new every day.
