I was trying to search the distance that a deck needs to be set back from a neighbors property line for a single family dwelling. I thought it was nine feet but I can't seem to locate the correct answer. Does anyone know the correct answer? Thanks

I was told that it is generally 5 ft from the end of your property line. However, each plot has specific requirements that deviate from the general rule. you will need to check with the county building and development department on what applies to your specific plot, and get approval based on that. And of course, don't forget the HOA :)

Setbacks are typically 9-10 feet. There are other "restriction" lines that can alter the distance.
