    I noticed, that many of the brass numbers are no more shiny - the gold look faded. It is hard to see them from any distance. Many of the digits are missing too.

    I would like to share a verified, frugal, fast and easy “number face-lift”, that me and my son did at our house and also for about dozen neighbors four years ago. They are still holding up and looking great.
    • Make sure all brass numbers are holding well.
    • If not or if they fell off and you still have them, glue them on using contact cement glue.
    • This is the paint we used. Multi-Surface Metallic Acrylic Paint 14k Gold, 2 oz for $2.25
    • If you are missing digits, paint on the missing space, it still looks great.
    • Before you paint, clean and sand all the brass digits.
    • Let dry 1 to 2 hours and add second coat.
    • The gold paint does not look gold during painting. Don’t worry, it will look great after drying.
    If you do not feel like doing it yourself, my son will do a great job for only $25. You can prepay using this link on Stripe payment system. He will contact you immediately to make arrangements and do the job within 2 days weather permitting. He has already about 20 happy customers within Broadlands community as part of our ⭐:Neighborhood Beautification Project:⭐

    PS: I did not find any similar brass number replacements at Home Depot or Lowes, but based on HOA, this is the original supplier: waves-end.biz/mainstreet/display/mp-100/. The closest office is in Manassas, 8759 Meadows Dr; Tel: 571-379-8454. The mailbox model is MP-100. Here are the quoted prices from 2014:
    • Brass numbers are $4 each – mailed to you.
    • The top cast iron with the numbers Address plate with #s is $85 installed.
    • Cast iron piece holding the mail box from below decorative scroll bracket - $65 installed;
    • The newspaper bin is $50 installed.
    • Mail box flag - $7.50 mailed to you.
    • Complete mail box - full replacement of entire unit - $350 installed.
